Chafee Older Foster Youth Program Gains New Region in MO
PFH Youth and Family Services is proud to be expanding into the Northwest region of Missouri with our Chafee Older Foster Youth Program. The recent award adds an additional 27 counties to the existing 53 already served throughout southern Missouri. The Chafee program provides independent life skills training and opportunities (i.e., social, financial, educational case management) support to older foster youth (14 up to 21 years of age) to live independently. Aftercare services are provided to youth aged 17.5 up to 21 years of age who are not in state custody. Aftercare programming provides emergency care services including housing assistance and independent life skills training and opportunities. Transitional Living Scattered Sites (TLSS) offers apartment housing and independent life skills training and opportunities to support older foster youth (18 -21) to live independently.
